Today, I Adopt a Zen Attitude: How to Have a Zen Attitude - wikiHow

Zen is a form of meditation with a focus on the mindful awareness of the present moment. In common lexicon, the phrase "being zen" or "having a zen attitude" has come to mean viewing life calmly with equanimity. By this definition, being Zen is about doing right for the mind, body, and soul. It can help you relax, have a positive outlook on life, and find a higher plane of spiritual worth.

Sometimes you have to just let go and and look at life with a bit of indifference. My troubles are small, my fortunes are great. Let what will be, be. Hand wringing and worrying will do more harm than good. I shall meditate upon this while I review some code and await other, more personal, news.

My $100+ garmin forerunner 50 (https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=10527) died recently so I'm impatiently waiting for my iPhone Runkeeper app to get ANT+ support for my gamin heart rate monitor - perhaps through the Wahoo Fisica Fitness Sensor for the iPhone: http://www.wahoofitness.com/Fisica/Wahoo-Fitness-Fisica-Fitness-Sensor-Key.asp

Google Wave is Dead, Long Live Google Wave: Update on Google Wave

2010-08-05 00:00:00 -0400

Wave has not seen the user adoption we would have liked. We don’t plan to continue developing Wave as a standalone product, but we will maintain the site at least through the end of the year and extend the technology for use in other Google projects.

I had very high hopes for Wave. It had implementation issues, but the idea of re-thinking the e-tools we use daily, e-mail, wiki, discussions, etc was valid and I liked Wave's approach. Wave used an open backend so it could be easily replicated elsewhere. While they provided the first UI, others would have been free to create their own UIs for the service as well. There were some usability issues with Wave's web-UI that I mentioned previously, but those were details they could have worked out over time.

Wave seemed to suffer from the chicken and egg problem. They perhaps should have let it cook a while longer and opened up to more people sooner. In the end, though, it may have been too radical a step for most users to adopt.

Good to see Fitbit adding features and monetizing, but they still need to tighten up their core features around their fitbit device. I won't pay for a Pro Account until they start syncing with my Withings scale and a heart rate monitor - like Garmin's or Polar's.
