My friend Debanjan sent this to me. I still believe the theory will become reality over time.

Get Dropbox

2009-11-12 00:00:00 -0500

Dropbox works incredibly well. It is FAST to sync and I use it to keep my apps and docs available on all my Macs, my iPhone, and the web. Get dropbox, there is a free version try out - 2 Gig limit. http://www.dropbox.com

Note: If you get a warning from Google or your antivirus about dropbox.com being a malware site. You can safely ignore it. Because dropbox hosts files for millions of users, and some of those users used it for malicious purposes, it got flagged. Your use of dropbox is independent of all other users and you certainly won't get a virus from visiting the company site or your own files. Dropbox has worked with Google to resolve the flagging of the whole site.

Proud Simon's New Interactive Music Video is Clever

Proud Simon's new interactive music video is quite clever.  The music video allows you to apply numerous effects, view from different angels, etc.

It isn't immediately apparent where all the controls are and I suspect an update is forth coming that will make this more obvious.  Below I've annotated where the current controls are located.

The Pirate Bay Goes Dark.. Dirty Pirates Had it Coming

2009-11-08 00:00:00 -0500

At the end of August the Stockholm district court ordered Black Internet to shut down the connection that The Pirate Bay used, and the ISP complied.

The Pirate Bay kinda reminded me of Larry Flint (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Flynt) in that while they kinda represented the underbelly of what is considered socially acceptable, they stood up to "the man" .. and for that they got my respect. That and I occasionally needed their services.. for perfectly legitimate uses of course. I suspect this is not the last that we see of them. I also suspect that the movie industry will get a clue as the music industry seems to have done.

Update: .. And they're back..
