John C. Dvorak, Curmudgeon or "Nut-job"?
..and I'm not just saying this because I'm the "nutty Mac fringe" that "got all bent out of shape."
The real question here is.. "Is nut-job hyphenated??"

iDuprey.com enjoyed another hiatus from the internet on Saturday due to a power outage. A very large tree decided to rest on our power lines in the back yard. It took them all day to remove the tree and turn the power back on. We fired up the generator to keep us warm, but the site did not rank so high to deserve electricity too. Power was lost around 11 AM on Saturday and returned around 11 PM. Lets hope we have no more interruptions for a while. The power crew ripped the cable line off our house and left it lying on the ground. Fortunately, this did not impact our cable or internet service. We will be filing a complaint with RG&E later this week.
I'll post some interesting pictures of the tree later.

Don't be surprised if JWDWeb sporadically disappears from the internet for a while (a few days?) as I attempt to upgrade its Gentoo Linux server. While Gentoo allows me to keep an up to date, optimized for speed server, it also can be a pain to do a massive update. I would feel less pain if I upgraded more often, but I just don't do it unless there is an applicable security hole or I want the latest of a large software package. The reason for upgrading is the latter this time. I'm learning about j2ee and am installing open source implementations of j2ee components - Tomcat, JBoss, etc.
Anyway, I apologize if you were looking something in particular and couldn't get to it.
