Believe it or not, this actually has nothing to do with my utterly nightmarish experience of trying to get my applications into Palm's app catalog, and everything to do with the fact that the phone is just a constant pain to use.

Version .7 is available now. It looks like it is using the same UI served up by google, but adds desktop integration - growl notification, status bar access... I'm game. I'll try it out.

Update: at 300M real memory, it may be a bit too resource intensive..

Update: This may not be Waveboard's fault.  Even running it as an SSB using Fluid takes ~300M.

Thanks to AZ for the link.  Seems everyone is wrinkling their nose at Wave.  I think people are missing that this is a preview and the whole vision thing.  Either that or I'm a technophile who loves technology for the sake of itself. :)

My Google Wave Invite Arrived Today

I received my Google Wave invite today.  Woot!  This could easily be the next big thing since e-mail and the web browser if it gains enough traction so that everyone uses it - implies ISPs, corporations etc. are hosting wave servers like they host e-mail and web servers today.  

Its currently in beta and I'm looking for people to "wave" with.  I have invites which I'll reserve for colleagues and friends I interact with often.  Friends and colleagues, drop me a line if you would like an invite.
